Hole in the wall

When I was in Shanghai, I forced E into this place before our dinner reservation at Lost Heaven @ The Bund. It was probably the most horrifying hole in the wall that I have personally entered but it was a great experience indeed. I order two wonton soups (total price: 10kuai) and the bowl was not the cleanest ones...it was not white...lol. The bowls have probably existed longer time than us.
When we sat down at the place, there were locals passing the place and walking in just to look at us. I guess they have never seen as much Zegna and LV in that little hole hehehe. But the wonton soup was delicious, the dirtier, the more delicious the food! That is my motto!!!

The next day I ended up with bad stomach for the three following days, but not E for some reason...

Amazing spots

Shintori - übercool Japanese restaurant hidden in French Concession, Shanghai. The restaurant is ina warehouse location where you can see the open kitchen with all the chefs working while you are eating. Ralph Fiennes ate here when he visited Shanghai. Great food, great atmosphere, great table settings, etc. The most hipster place you can come by in Shanghai in my honest opinion.
View from Ritz Carlton, Lujiazui when having breakfast. Great wake up call ;-)
Cutest cupcakes at Baker & Spice, more frosting than base - me like!!!
Best dessert ever at the best restaurant ever - Mr and Mrs Bund, even my handbag got her own minichair. How cute!?
Watching Shanghai skyline while laying at the relax area is a great contrast experience :-)
Best chocolate caramel pie in Stockholm!!! @ Saturnus (Eriksbergsgatan). This is probably the place I go most often to during weekends. They have the BEST fries that I have ever had!!! Even better than the ones in the US! I have no idea how they do it but they are soooo amazing, they even look different compared to other fries. So extremely satisfying. A must go for tourists and locals! Here they also serve the biggest coffee cups and biggest cinnamon buns. The theme here is BIG, BIGGER, THE BIGGEST!!! You won't leave this place being hungry!

Popular!

Wow...
I set up this blog just one hour ago and I already got lots of hits...not sure if I should celebrate or hide in my bed. This time blogging I'm not looking for lots of attention. However, it is difficult to not resist all the attention it is possible to reach! Imagine, thousands of people are listening to what little me have to say!!!
Hmmm, still have not decided whether I should promote my blog on all public sites available or just lay low hehe
I cut my hair when I was in Shanghai....@ Makas on Fuxing Road (which I won at Kee Club, originally it costs 600RMB to only get your hair cut here, which is crazy expensive considering it is China!!! To be honest, I'm not even satisfied with the result...but I experienced great service though)

Shanghai Treasury

As some of you may know, I went back to Shanghai a few weeks ago (and I never visited M1NT!!!), can you imagine!?!?!?! hehehe

Anyways I had a great time. First 5 days in Shanghai I spent with my (new) bf E. We arrived on New Years Eve and spent the evening first at our hotel (Ritz Carlton, IFC Building), later we visited the hotel bar Flair with a great view over Shanghai. We decided to have dinner at Shintori, finally we went to Kee Club (where E managed to win a luxury haircut for me) to ring in the new year 2012!

I am back!

I couldn't resist, I just really feel like blogging again...
During this time while I have taken a paus from blogging, it has felt like something is missing in my life. I have been part of so many wonderful experiences these past months and it has felt terrible to not be able to put them down in words. I know that I would love to come back in two years and read about my current situation now, just to remember and appreciate this time period that I am going thru at the moment.
These past months have been my happiest time period ever in my life. It feels amazing and I owe myself to write these feelings down on this blog!

However, I cannot promise that this blog will become as professional as my last blog, but see it form the bright side, hopefully this blog will become a bit more personal and real . I am tired of showing a fake shallow facade as I did on my previous blog. I remember that I sometimes felt I was forced to write about something glamorous just to keep my readers interested. Therefore this blog is a start to something different, something more personal and genuine I hope!

ENJOY!
